Regular Season Round 20: Naron - Carbajosa 85-77

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Naron (7-10) defeated at home higher ranked Carbajosa (8-9) 85-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-77. Naron made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Naron especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was American Shanon Fowler (-93) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import guard Anthony Holliday (191-92, college: Lamar) chipped in 22 points. Trinidad and Tobago-Canadian center Richard Peters (211-93, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Dynamics Global Management) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Cole Preston (193-95, college: St.Martin's) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Four Carbajosa players scored in double figures. Carbajosa's coach Victor Rico rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naron moved-up to twelfth place in Group A-B. Carbajosa lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Naron will face Coruna II (#14) on the road in the next round.
