An interesting game for Tapiolan Honka (14-3) which hosted in Tapiolan 4th placed ViVe (10-7). Second ranked Tapiolan Honka managed to get a 11-point victory 81-70. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 50-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Tapiolan Honka dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to ViVe's 24. They outrebounded ViVe 38-25 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tapiolan Honka looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international swingman Heta Korpivaara (185-84, college: Seton Hall) contributed with 32 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Pachis Roberts (180-94, college: Georgia) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Sydney Coffey (183-93, college: Marist, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 4 assists in the effort for ViVe. Four ViVe players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Tapiolan Honka maintains second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader Catz. ViVe at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with HyPo. Tapiolan Honka are looking forward to face Helmi Basket (#9) in Helsinki in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ViVe will play at home against the league's leader Catz Lappeenranta (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
