Everything could happen in Athens at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Amyntas Dafnis and 8th ranked Kastoria had identical 8-5 record. This time Amyntas Dafnis used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kastoria 66-60. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Forward Andriano Topalis (201-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Spyros Diamantopoulos (197-83) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Giorgos Brozos (198-86, college: Furman) replied with 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Stamatis Benas (206-85) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kastoria. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Amyntas Dafnis (9-5) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Apollon Patras and Doxa Lefkadas. Newly promoted Kastoria dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Amyntas Dafnis' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Athens to the arena Peristeri GS.
