Regular Season Round 19: Yamanashi QB - Toyota A. 62-104

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Yamanashi QB (2-17) was crushed at home by second ranked Toyota A. (15-4) 104-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 36 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Toyota A. had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Yamanashi QB's players. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) fired 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) chipped in 16 points. Forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Miki Huzii (168-87) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Four Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota A. maintains second place with 15-4 record having just three points less than leader JX-Eneos S. Yamanashi QB lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Toyota A. will have a break next round. Yamanashi QB will play again at home against the league's second-placed Toyota A. (#2) and hope to win that game.
