Regular Season Round 15: Joventut LC - ADBA 61-71

There was a surprise result in Barcelona where twelfth ranked ADBA (4-11) beat higher ranked Joventut LC (7-8) 71-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ADBA. Joventut LC was better in second period 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ADBA well out of reach of Joventut LC shooting 95.7 percent from the field and made 25-of-32 free shots (78.1 percent) during the game, while Joventut LC only scored seven points from the stripe. ADBA looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Joventut LC was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American center Ashley Ezeh (185, college: Texas St.) who scored 24 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Her fellow American import guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Eliana Soriano who recorded 18 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and point guard Angels Farre (165-95) added 13 points respectively. Joventut LC's coach Sergio Manzano tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. ADBA moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with Ascensores Tresa. Joventut LC lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. ADBA will face league's second-placed Barca CBS in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
