Regular Season Round 20: Utrera - San Fernando 67-65

A very interesting game took place in Utrera. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked San Fernando (5-9) to fifth ranked Utrera (7-7) 67-65 on Saturday evening. San Fernando was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 22-14 third quarter run of Utrera. The winners were led by forward Andres Tejada (195-98) who scored that evening 17 points and Montenegrin power forward Zoran Vilotijevic (206-90) supported him with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by center Diego Gallardo (198-89) did not help to save the game for San Fernando. Jose Ruiz (200-97) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Four San Fernando players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Utrera moved-up to third place in Group D-B, which they share with Huelva and Cordobasket. San Fernando at the other side dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Utrera's next round opponent will be league's second-placed ULB OH!TELS in La Linea and it will be for sure the game of the week. San Fernando will play at home against the league's leader Algeciras (#1) and hope to win that game.
