Regular Season Round 18: Moncalieri - Oleggio 78-68

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Moncalieri (3-15) won against at home higher ranked Oleggio (9-9) 78-68 on Saturday. Moncalieri shot 28 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Oleggio only scored twelve points from the stripe. Oleggio was plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was naturalized Nigerian power forward Emmanuel Enihe (198-98) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Daniele Merletto (175-93) chipped in 16 points. Four Moncalieri players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Edoardo Gallazzi (200-86) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Moncalieri maintains fifteenth position in B with 3-15 record, which they share with Palermo GB. Loser Oleggio keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Moncalieri will face higher ranked Piombino (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
