No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Vitebsk (13-11) smashed at home bottom-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (2-21) 99-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Vitebsk. RCOP Tsmoki managed to win third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vitebsk forced 30 RCOP Tsmoki turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Pavel Kadol (194-89) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marsel Ovsepian (202-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Vitebsk players scored in double figures. Daniil Barysevich (191-1) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Herman Plotnikau (193-0) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vitebsk maintains fourth position with 13-11 record. RCOP Tsmoki lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games. Vitebsk will meet higher ranked COR-Borisfen (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. RCOP Tsmoki will have a break next round.
