Regular Season Round 21: San-en - Hitachi SR 59-71

There was a small surprise in Hamamatsu where third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (19-11) beat 3rd placed San-en NeoPhoenix (14-16) 71-59 on Saturday. Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 13 points and 15 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains third place with 19-11 record having five points less than leader Ryukyu GK, which they share with Toshiba BT. San-en NeoPhoenix lost their third game in a row. They keep the third position with 16 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will face league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. San-en NeoPhoenix will play against the league's second-placed Toyama Grouses and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
