Regular Season Round 15: Quimper - Charleville 71-75

Bottom-ranked Charleville-Mezieres managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses on Saturday night. This time they won against seventeenth-ranked Quimper UJAP 75-71. Quimper UJAP was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh) who scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Bahamas guard Michael Carey-Jr (196-93, college: Wagner) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Kevin Mondesir (204-91) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Charleville-Mezieres (2-12) moved-up to seventeenth place. Quimper UJAP lost their thirteenth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. Charleville-Mezieres will meet league's second-placed Lille Metropole on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Quimper UJAP will play against ALM Evreux (#12) and hope to secure a win.
