Bottom-ranked Doukas managed to get a third victory on Saturday night. This time they edged seventh-ranked Ermis Agias in Athens 78-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ermis Agias. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 23-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Doukas dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ermis Agias' 28. 24 personal fouls committed by Ermis Agias helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Ioannis Tozios (209-90) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Alexis Kiritsis (198-82) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists during the contest. The former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Savas Chrysopoulos (200-89) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Ermis Agias players scored in double figures. Doukas (3-11) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Arkadikos and Karditsas. Newly promoted Ermis Agias keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Kastoria and Psychiko. Doukas is looking forward to face Karditsas (#15) in the next round. Ermis Agias will play against Holargos (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
