Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Lugo (8-10) was edged at home by third ranked Crema (13-5) 79-76 on Saturday. Crema forced 23 Lugo turnovers. Strangely Lugo outrebounded Crema 43-25 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Francesco Paolin (190-95) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Giovanni Poggi (201-97) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Crema players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Giacomo Filippini (204-91) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Matteo Seravalli (184-91) added 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals respectively. Crema maintains third position in B with 13-5 record having four points less than leader San Severo. Newly promoted Lugo keeps the ninth place with ten games lost. Crema will face Lecco (#4) at home in the next round. Lugo will play against Rimini (#13) and hope to win that game.
