Seventh-ranked TTU (2-13) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked TLU/Kalev (6-9) in Tallinn on Saturday. TLU/Kalev managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 26-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. TLU/Kalev shot 26 for 43 from the free-throw line, while TTU only scored ten points from the stripe. 29 personal fouls committed by TTU helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American-DR Congolese center Bambale Osby (203-86, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Kristo Saage (186-85) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Osby is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. TLU/Kalev's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette, agency: Blacktop Management) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Matthias Tass (208-99) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for TTU. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TLU/Kalev maintains fifth place with 6-9 record. TTU lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. TLU/Kalev's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn Noorteliiga.
