Rather expected game when 10th ranked Myrtia (8-10) lost to eighth ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (10-8) in Avila 66-76 on Saturday. It was a good game for point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 assists. Venezuelan point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91, agency: Duran International) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Fontedoso Carrefour players scored in double figures. American center Chris Matagrano (206-90, college: New Hampshire) replied with 19 points and 6 rebounds and Italian-Argentinian swingman Juan-Ignacio Jasen (196-85) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Myrtia. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Navarra. Newly promoted Myrtia keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour will face higher ranked Albacete (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Myrtia will play against Navarra (#7) and hope to win that game.
