Regular Season Round 30: Ehime OV - Kagawa FA 76-80

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Orange Vikings (18-12) against fifth ranked Kagawa FA (13-16) on Saturday night. Host Orange Vikings were defeated by Kagawa FA in a tough game in Matsuyama 76-80. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Orange Vikings' 28. They outrebounded Orange Vikings 53-36 including a 24-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Kagawa FA's coach Kohei Etoh allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Taishi Kasahara (188-89) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Kagawa FA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Orange Vikings at the other side keep the third position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
