Regular Season Round 12: Tarbes - Lyon 75-58

Lyon (#4) was upset in Tarbes by seventh ranked Tarbes 75-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lyon. Tarbes shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Lyon's players. The winners were led by Canadian forward Michelle Plouffe (193-92, college: Utah) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Spanish point guard Ana Suarez (170-87, agency: ProDep Management) supported her with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Tarbes players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds by Australian guard Rebecca Allen (185-92, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Lyon. American forward Haley Peters (190-92, college: Duke, agency: ProDep Management) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Tarbes (7-5) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Landes. Lyon at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Lattes Montp.. Tarbes will play against league's leader Bourges on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Lyon will play against Mondeville (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
