Regular Season Round 14: SIG - CFBB 64-50

Bottom-ranked SIG managed to get a third victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked CFBB in llkirch-Graff. 64-50. SIG forced 21 CFBB turnovers. The best player for the winners was Cameroonian Amina NJonkou (185-88, college: Arizona) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Kathleen Bourdin (162-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Center Iliana Rupert (193-1) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and center Nabala Fofana (186-0) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SIG (3-11) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated CFBB. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. SIG will meet higher ranked Reze (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play against Toulouse and will have a slim chance for a victory.
