There was a minor upset when 11th ranked Carugate (5-12) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Cagliari CUS (4-12) 58-51 on Saturday. Cagliari CUS forced 21 Carugate turnovers. Guard Giulia Sorrentino (170-98) fired 15 points for the winners. Forward Giulia Ridolfi (182-94) chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Cecilia Albano (183-96) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Laura Zelnyte (190-94) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Cagliari CUS moved-up to twelfth place in A2. Loser Carugate keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Cagliari CUS will face higher ranked Marghera (#9) in Venezia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
