Regular Season Round 19: Tromso - Ammerud Bskt 66-64

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Ammerud Bskt (7-12) was edged on the road by ninth ranked Tromso (7-12) 66-64 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Tromso forced 20 Ammerud Bskt turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Shawntez Patterson (201-90, college: Alabama St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Keon Lawrence (187-87, college: Seton Hall) helped adding 16 points and 11 rebounds. Patterson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the losing side British center Morakinyo Williams (210-88, college: Citadel, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and forward Philip Luis (192-89) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Tromso moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ammerud Bskt and Nidaros Jets. Tromso will face higher ranked Fyllingen BBK (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
