There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Mollet (9-5) beat at home second-ranked Pardinyes-L. (11-3) 90-78 on Sunday. The game without a history. Mollet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was point guard Albert Ferrer (180-82) who scored 31 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) chipped in 18 points. Mollet's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Javier Mendiburu (197-80) produced 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Pau Lopez (181-84) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Mollet maintains sixth position in Group C-B with 9-5 record. Loser Pardinyes-L. keeps the second place with three games lost. Mollet will face Cerdanyola (#12) in Cerdanyola del Valle in the next round where they are favorite. Pardinyes-L. will play at home against Castellbisbal (#10) and hope to win that game.
