Regular Season Round 19: Fyllingen BBK - Kongsberg 80-90

The game between Top Four teams took place in Fyllingen. 4th placed host Fyllingen BBK (11-9) lost to second ranked Kongsberg (15-4) 90-80. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Fyllingen BBK. It looked good early as Fyllingen BBK took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. It was an exceptional evening for American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) who led the winners and scored 2 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (187-91, college: Barry) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Bahamas forward Tavario Miller (203-94, college: Texas A&M) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and guard Brede Ellingsen (189-88) added 24 points respectively for Fyllingen BBK in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fyllingen BBK's coach Tore Ervik tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Kongsberg maintains second place with 15-4 record having six points less than leader Asker Aliens. Newly promoted Fyllingen BBK keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Kongsberg will play against Froya Basket (#5) in Laksevag in the next round. Fyllingen BBK will play on the road against Tromso and hopes to get back on the winning track.
