Very expected game in Lulea where 10th ranked LF Future (2-14) was crushed by second ranked Koping Stars (13-1) 91-58 on Sunday. The game without a history. Koping Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 28. They outrebounded LF Future 50-31 including a 39-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Koping Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Aleksa Solevic (188-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. Koping Stars' coach Panagiotis Nikolaidis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Iraqi forward Samir Ali-Hussein (200-92) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Brian Curry (185-86) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Koping Stars have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-1 record behind leader Djurgarden. LF Future lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Koping Stars will meet at home Trelleborg (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LF Future will play against Hogsbo and hope to secure a win.
