Regular Season Round 20: Yamanashi QB - Toyota A. 62-104

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Toyota A. (16-4) crushed on the road 11th ranked Yamanashi QB (2-18) 104-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Toyota A. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Yamanashi QB's 36 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Toyota A. had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Yamanashi QB's players. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Miki Huzii (168-87) added 16 points in the effort for Yamanashi QB. Four Yamanashi QB players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota A. maintains second position with 16-4 record having just three points less than leader JX-Eneos S. Yamanashi QB lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 18 games lost. Toyota A. will face Hitachi Cougars (#8) in Hitachinaka in the next round where they are favorite. Yamanashi QB will play on the road against Chanson V-M in Shizuoka and hope to win that game.
