Rather predictable result in Shanghai where twelfth ranked Sharks (15-14) beat 14th ranked Sturgeons (12-17) 112-105 on Sunday. Sharks made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import Nick Minnerath (207-88, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. International Zhelin Wang (214-94) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Four Sharks and five Sturgeons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sharks have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Beikong FD. Loser Sturgeons keep the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. Sharks will face league's leader Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in Hangzhou in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sturgeons will play at home against Golden Bulls (#9) and hope to win that game.
