Regular Season Round 18: Ortona - Pescara 60-84

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Ortona (3-15) was crushed at home by fifth ranked Pescara (11-7) 84-60 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Mathias Drigo (203-89, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian Filip Pavicevic (205-99) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Danilo Petrovic (203-99) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pescara maintains fifth position in B with 11-7 record, which they share with Vicenza and Faenza. Loser Ortona dropped to the fifteenth place with 15 games lost. Pescara will face league's second-placed Recanati at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ortona will play against Senigallia (#9) and hope to win that game.
