The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Germani BR as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Scandone AV) loss. Germani BR defeated 16th ranked VL Pesaro in Brescia 88-70. They outrebounded VL Pesaro 42-21 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Germani BR players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Lee Moore (193-95, college: UTEP) who scored that evening 21 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Dario Hunt (206-89, college: Nevada) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Germani BR players scored in double figures. Germani BR's coach Andrea Diana allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points by American guard Dallas Moore (185-94, college: N.Florida, agency: 3Eye) did not help to save the game for VL Pesaro. Nigerian-American forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-95, college: Colorado St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 11 points for lost side. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with EA7 Armani and Scandone AV. VL Pesaro at the other side stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. VL Pesaro will play next round against Grissin Bon RE trying to get back on the winning streak. Germani BR will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Scandone AV at Avellino.
