Regular Season Round 18: Omnia Basket - Firenze All Foods 74-79

Very expected game in Pavia where 7th ranked Omnia Basket (9-9) was defeated by second ranked Firenze All Foods (15-3) 79-74 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was point guard Alessandro Grande (183-94) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. Guard Simone Berti (196-85) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Thomas De-Min (202-86) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Daniele Manuelli (192-94) added 18 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Firenze All Foods maintains second position in B with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Piacenza. Newly promoted Omnia Basket dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Firenze All Foods will face league's leader Omegna at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Omnia Basket will play against Libertas (#16) in Livorno and hope to win that game.
