The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Monaco (13-4) on the court of sixth ranked JSF Nanterre on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by JSF Nanterre 99-69. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Monaco. The game without a history. JSF Nanterre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. German point guard Heiko Schaffartzik (183-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 assists for the winners and American Jamal Shuler (191-86, college: VCU) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) responded with 18 points and Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JSF Nanterre (10-7) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Bourg. Monaco at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. JSF Nanterre is looking forward to face higher ranked Le Mans (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Monaco will play against Paris-Levallois and is hoping to win this game.
