Regular Season Round 21: San-en - Hitachi SR 65-56

There was a small surprise in Hamamatsu where third ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (14-16) won against 3rd placed Hitachi Sunrockers (19-11) 65-56 on Sunday. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-91) chipped in 14 points. The best for the losing side was Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and international point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) scored 17 points. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San-en NeoPhoenix maintains third place with 14-16 record having ten points less than leader Ryukyu GK which they share with defeated Hitachi Sunrockers. Loser Hitachi Sunrockers keep the third position with 11 games lost. San-en NeoPhoenix will face league's second-placed Toyama Grouses at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
