There was no surprise when 12th ranked Bnei Hasharon (3-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Hapoel Holon (10-4) 91-77 on Sunday. The game without a history. Hapoel Holon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Hapoel Holon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was swingman Glen Rice-Jr (198-91, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) produced 22 points and 8 rebounds and forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Hapoel Holon and four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hapoel Holon moved-up to second place, which they share with Hapoel J-M. Loser Bnei Hasharon stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Hapoel Holon will face Galil Gilboa (#4) in Rosh Pina in the next round. Bnei Hasharon will play at home against Ironi Nahariya (#7) and hope to win that game.
