Regular Season Round 32: Libertadores - Aaguacateros 84-85

Eleventh-ranked Libertadores (6-22) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Aaguacateros (16-14) in Queretaro. The visitors from Michoacan managed to secure only one-point victory 85-84. However their fans expected much easier game. Aaguacateros players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds and Dominican guard Juan Coronado (193-83) who added 14 points and 8 assists during the contest. American power forward Gerard DeVaughn (206-88, college: Stillman) responded with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Michael Perez (190-91, college: Nevada) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aaguacateros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 16-14 record. Newly promoted Libertadores stay dead last with 22 lost games. Aaguacateros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Libertadores will play on the road against Toros (#8) in Nuevo Laredo and hope to get back on the winning track.
