Regular Season Round 18: Recanati - Cerignola Udas 84-54

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Recanati (12-6) smashed at home 14th ranked Cerignola Udas (5-13) 84-54 on Sunday. They outrebounded Cerignola Udas 36-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Recanati looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) who scored 21 points and 6 assists. Forward Giorgio Broglia (198-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Recanati players scored in double figures. Coach Piero Coen's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Gianluca Tredici (198-92) who recorded 23 points and 4 assists and forward Mattia Marchetti (193-89) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Recanati maintains second position in B with 12-6 record having five points less than leader San Severo, which they share with Lecco. Newly promoted Cerignola Udas keep the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. Recanati will face Pescara (#5) on the road in the next round. Cerignola Udas will play against Perugia (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
