Regular Season Round 15: Kings - Wildcats 84-56
Date: January 21, 2018
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Perth Wildcats (13-9) against eighth ranked Kings (7-16) on Sunday night. Visiting Perth Wildcats were crushed by Kings in Sydney 84-56. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) who led the winners and scored 20 points. The former international guard Jason Cadee (186-91) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Bryce Cotton (185-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with 14 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Lucas Walker (202-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Perth Wildcats in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings maintains eighth place with 7-16 record. Defending champion Perth Wildcats dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Kings will play against league's second-placed United in Melbourne in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Perth Wildcats will play at home against New Zealand Breakers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
