Regular Season Round 31: Fukuoka Rizing - Bambitious Nara 94-41

Very predictable result when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (25-5) smashed at home 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (7-23) 94-41 on Sunday. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious Nara's 28. They outrebounded Bambitious Nara 39-26 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Bambitious Nara's players. It was a great evening for American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Fukuoka Rizing players scored in double figures. At the losing side South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) responded with 4 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Joshua Dollard (203-86, college: Auburn) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Fukuoka Rizing maintains first place with 25-5 record. Loser Bambitious Nara keeps the sixth position with 23 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face league's second-placed Fukushima on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bambitious Nara will play against the league's second-placed Kumamoto V. (#2) and hope to win that game.
