Regular Season Round 16: Lulea Basket - Mark 101-70

Damligan top team - Lulea Basket (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Mark (4-10) 101-70. The game without a history. Lulea Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Lulea Basket had a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mark's players. It was a very good performance for the former international forward Allis Nystrom (184-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Chioma Nnamaka (183-85, college: Georgia Tech) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. Lulea Basket's coach David Visscher felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Erica Iderstal (172-94) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Mark. Lulea Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-1 record. Mark at the other side keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. Lulea Basket's next round opponent will be AIK Basket (#9) in Solna and are hoping to win another game. Mark will play on the road against KFUM Uppsala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
