Regular Season Round 24: Olimpia - Victoria 125-56

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Grodno: Olimpia (#1) and Victoria (#5). Olimpia (18-0) smashed visiting Victoria (3-15) by 69 points 125-56. The game without a history. Olimpia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 30. They outrebounded Victoria 42-27 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olimpia shot the lights out from three nailing 18 long-distance shots on high 62.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Victoria's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Natallia Dashkevich (188-88) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Olimpia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Yuliya Vasilevich (165-1) with 12 points and 7 assists and center Anastasiya Serchenya (182-0) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpia have an impressive 17-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Victoria lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with COR Victoria. Olimpia will play against BrGU COR Victoria (#6) in Brest in the next round where they are favorite. Victoria will have a break next round.
