Regular Season Round 20: Chanson V-M - JX-Eneos S. 71-81

An interesting game for JX-Eneos S. (19-1) which played road game in Shizuoka against 4th ranked Chanson V-M (13-7). First ranked JX-Eneos S. managed to get a 10-point victory 81-71. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Chanson V-M managed to win second period 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Chanson V-M's 24. They outrebounded Chanson V-M 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 41 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists (on 19-of-24 shooting from the field). The former international forward Yuka Osaki-Mamiya (185-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) replied with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Chikae Uchino (176-93) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Chanson V-M. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Fujitsu RW and Mitsubishi K.. JX-Eneos S. are looking forward to face Fujitsu RW (#6) in Kawasaki in the next round where they are favorite. Chanson V-M will play at home against Yamanashi QB and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
