Ninth-ranked Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (4-14) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Bnot Hertzeliya (8-10) on Monday. Bnot Hertzeliya managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion. Bnot Hertzeliya forced 23 Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion turnovers. American power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Matee Ajavon (173-86, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Bnot Hertzeliya's coach Gilad Katz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and American power forward Tori Jarosz (190-92, college: Marist, agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bnot Hertzeliya moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hap.Petah Tikva and Maccabi Raanana. Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion at the other side keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost.
