Regular Season Round 18: Brissac Anjou - CFBB 103-70

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 103-70 loss to eleventh ranked Brissac-Aubance (8-10) in Brissac-Quince on Tuesday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 50 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Brissac-Aubance forced 22 CFBB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by CFBB's players. Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Brissac-Aubance players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Ivan Fevrier (204-99) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and center Mathis Dossou-Yovo (202-0) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Brissac-Aubance maintains eleventh position with 8-10 record. Loser CFBB still closes the standings. Brissac-Aubance will meet SAP Vaucluse (#16) in the next round where they are favorite. CFBB will play against Vendee Challans and hopes to get finally their first victory.
