There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Magia Huesca (8-12) beat on the road 10th ranked Lleida Basquet (9-11) 69-59 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Magia Huesca. Lleida Basquet was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Magia Huesca won last quarter 18-10. The best player for the winners was swingman Mikel Motos (193-93, college: Sammic ISB) who scored 15 points. Forward Sergio Rodriguez (195-93) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian-Jamaican point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian Brano Djukanovic (194-95) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Magia Huesca maintains thirteenth position with 8-12 record. Loser Lleida Basquet keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Magia Huesca will face higher ranked Caceres Basket (#7) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
