Regular Season Round 20: Prat - Breogan 79-81

The most exciting game of round 20 in the LEB Gold took place in Prat. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-ranked CB Prat (15-5) to first ranked Leche Rio Breogan (17-3) 81-79 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of CB Prat. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 2 points. Leche Rio Breogan made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 CB Prat turnovers. The best player for the winners was Bosnian-Finnish power forward Emir Sulejmanovic (204-95) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. American center Matt Stainbrook (208-92, college: Xavier, agency: 3Eye) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Leche Rio Breogan's coach Natxo Lezcano used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Romanian center Emanuel Cate (206-97) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and power forward Gerbert Marti (203-91) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four CB Prat players scored in double figures. Leche Rio Breogan maintains first position with 17-3 record. CB Prat at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. Leche Rio Breogan are looking forward to face Lleida Basquet (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CB Prat will play against Cocinas.com (#17) in Logrono and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
