Everything went according to plan in Nuwaidrat where fourth ranked Al-Nweidrat (15-7) beat 7th ranked Al-Ittihad (12-10) 72-62. Al-Nweidrat had a 40-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. Ebrahim Albasri accounted for 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Antwan Wilkerson (201-91, college: Johnson C. Smith) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Hassan Helal (173-95) added 13 points, 8 assists and 4 steals respectively for Al-Ittihad in the defeat. Al-Nweidrat maintains fourth place with 15-7 record. Al-Ittihad at the other side dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Al-Nweidrat will play against Hidd (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
