We should mention about the upset which took place in Buenos Aires, where higher ranked Argentino (6-9) lost to fifteenth ranked Boca Juniors (5-7) in a road game 73-83 on Wednesday. Boca Juniors outrebounded Argentino 44-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Argentino's players. Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-83) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Forward Mariano Fierro (200-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Boca Juniors' coach Gustavo Fernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Luciano Massarelli (183-93) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boca Juniors moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Hispano Am. Argentino lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Boca Juniors will face Salta Basket (#16) on the road in the next round.
