Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Sadd (#6) and Al Shamal (#8). Al Sadd (9-7) won against visiting Al Shamal (2-14) 98-86. Strangely Al Shamal outrebounded Al Sadd 42-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American Julius Coles (193-89, college: Canisius) notched 29 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American-Albanian forward Mike Moser (203-90, college: Oregon) supported him with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international center Mame Souleye (206-87) did not help to save the game for Al Shamal. DR Congolese-American swingman Moses Ehambe (198-86, college: ORU) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Sadd moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Rayyan. Al Shamal at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost.
