Fifteenth-ranked Palma (6-14) made lots of trouble for eighth ranked Caceres Basket (10-9). Caceres Basket managed to secure only two-point victory 79-77. However their fans expected much easier game. Palma was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 43-37 second half run of Caceres Basket. Caceres Basket made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Caceres Basket outrebounded Palma 34-23 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Caceres Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The winners were led by Lithuanian center Robertas Grabauskas (208-90, college: Northwood, agency: HMS) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and forward Daniel Martinez (199-94) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 11 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) did not help to save the game for Palma. Guard Rafael Huertas (191-84, agency: Court Side) added 17 points for the guests. Five Caceres Basket and four Palma players scored in double figures. Caceres Basket moved-up to seventh place. Palma lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 14 games lost. Caceres Basket's next round opponent will be Magia Huesca (#13) on the road where they are favorite. Palma will play against Melilla Baloncesto and hope to win that game.
