The game in Castellon was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked La ICL Manresa (14-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Castello (11-10). La ICL Manresa did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Castello. The game was mostly controlled by La ICL Manresa. Castello was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. La ICL Manresa shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international forward Nacho Martin (202-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American guard Noah Allen (201-95, college: Hawaii) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four La ICL Manresa players scored in double figures. American forward Jason Cain (208-85, college: Virginia, agency: Dutt Sports Services) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Eduard Gatell (205-89) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Castello. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. La ICL Manresa moved-up to third place, which they share with Melilla and Oviedo. Castello at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. La ICL Manresa will play against Palencia Baloncesto (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Castello will play against Barca II (#14) in Barcelona and hopes to get back on the winning track.
