The game between fourth ranked Tindastoll (11-4) and 5th ranked Grindavik (8-7) in Sauoarkrokur ended with biggest points difference. Tindastoll beat guests from Grindavik 94-82. The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tindastoll forced 19 Grindavik turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Antonio Hester (198-90, college: Mobile, AL) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tindastoll's coach Israel Martin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward JNathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St., agency: SDJ Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Dagur Jonsson (185-95, college: St.Francis, NY) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tindastoll. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Haukar and KR. Grindavik at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Tindastoll's next round opponent will be Haukar (#3) in Hafnarfjordur, which may be the game of the day. Grindavik will play at home against Hottur and hope to win that game.
