Regular Season Round 16: Porvoon Tarmo - HBA-Marsky 84-93

1st Division top team - HBA-Marsky (13-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Porvoon Tarmo (4-12) 93-84. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. HBA-Marsky dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Porvoon Tarmo's 34. HBA-Marsky forced 19 Porvoon Tarmo turnovers and outrebounded Porvoon Tarmo 42-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Mikael Jantunen (203-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Elias Valtonen (198-99) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Juho Gummerus (201-97) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Leandre Uyulu (187-98) added 20 points in the effort for Porvoon Tarmo. Four Porvoon Tarmo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. HBA-Marsky maintains first position in Division with 13-3 record. Porvoon Tarmo at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. HBA-Marsky will have a break next round. Porvoon Tarmo will play on the road against Lahti (#4) and hope to win that game.
