There was an upset when higher ranked Korikouvot (8-8) was edged on the road by twelfth ranked Jarvenpaa (2-14) 74-71 on Friday. Korikouvot was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Jesse Viita (186-93) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Otso Laakkonen (198-93) who added 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Vili Nyman (198-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds and guard Valtteri Leino (181-95) scored 19 points. Five Korikouvot players scored in double figures. Jarvenpaa maintains twelfth position in Division with 2-14 record. Loser Korikouvot dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Jarvenpaa will face higher ranked Oulun NMKY (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
