An interesting game where host Umea (#7) rolled over 4th placed Boras Basket with 19-point difference 96-77 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 50-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Umea made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Center Andre Nilsson (209-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Four Umea players scored in double figures. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard-IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) responded with 18 points and Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Umea (6-10) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Boras Basket dropped to the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Sodertalje. Umea will meet league's leader BC Lulea on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boras Basket will play against Sodertalje Kings and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
